I have been working at Cache Creek Casino Resort full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The benefits package is really good. And you can make decent money in most tipped positions. Some departments are flexible with family situations.

    Cons

Upper management are mostly awful. Some departments worse than others. Slots for example expect you to be like a robot and never make a mistake or be sick. Most of the guests are entitled jerks that think they are the only people playing in the casino. Some of the rudest people I have ever met.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach in regards to the R.I.C.H program.

I worked at Cache Creek Casino Resort full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Fantastic Benefits package and great team. Flexible schedule and great pay. Many longterm employees (because it is a good place). Free food, transportation options, PTO. Tuition reimbursement, many, many other countless benefits and perks. The tribe truly cares about their employees and invests a ton of money in employee benefits. Because of all the Pros, this company has given many opportunities to my growing family. People commute 45 min + just to work here, and they become long term employees.

    Cons

It is a boys club up top. But they are generous and care.

    Advice to Management

Quite a bit of obvious nepotism in some departments, even if the employee is not a benefit to the department or not qualified when others are. Not much done about it of course, hard to prove intentions.

Working indoors with no windows and lots of smoke.

Appreciated employees tend to do more.

I worked at Cache Creek Casino Resort full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are good. The company has managed to retain a few good well experienced managers that are wonderful mentors.

    Cons

Extra hours/days/effort worked go unappreciated. Management is closed minded and often will base their judgements from favoritism or personal dislike.
Policy changes often. not very proactive

    Advice to Management

Treat your team members fairly and truly value their hard work.

    Pros

There are plenty of advancement opportunities, and many departments to choose from. You get free meals for your breaks and the pay and benefits are amazing.

    Cons

If you're going to be working with the public, make sure you have a lot of patience. The guests you have to deal with can be so mean and unpleasant. And depending on what department you are working in, getting time off can be close to impossible.

I have been working at Cache Creek Casino Resort full-time

    Pros

Benefits in a server position are unheard of and we have great benefits. Dental, Vision, Eye insurance. Employee assistance program. Lunch provided.

    Cons

The guests we attend to everyday can be malicious and hard to reason with even with the simplest of things. This is a casino environment and it shows in the "regulars" of the casino. High stress and Great pay. Makes some think if this is the reason we have such good benefits.

    Advice to Management

Promote within more often. We see management come and go and those who have dedicated themselves to this workplace get little recognition. Seeing others succeed can really drive the hourly employees to want and achieve more.

    Pros

Best benefits a job could offer!

    Cons

Not worth the drive. Some managers are obsessed with micromanaging and play favoritism with the employees they sleep around with.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to stay professional and keep their intimate relations outside of the work place and without employees.
