I have been working at Cadence Financial full-time

    Pros

Flexible work hours, ability to work from home.

    Cons

Lack of communication from the top down, no training, no career advancement, divisions within the bank are never on the same page.

    Advice to Management

    1. Communicate - we could be working with Sr. Mgmt and all of a sudden they are gone. No explanation and no guidance on how to proceed.
    2. Militant style of management is no longer acceptable in today's work environment
    3. Lack of Sr. Management to step up and commit to engaging in the project. 4. The "heavy lifting" seems to get thrown over the fence. 5. There seems to be a fear of giving instructions on what to do whether orally or in writing. No one wants to take responsibility .

I worked at Cadence Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was charged with implementing the Vendor Management Department, where I got to work with compliance and risk management professionals, who taught me a lot. All third party and regulatory examinations were also great learning experiences, from which I also learned much to continue my professional growth.

    Cons

I had no negative or troublesome experiences.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Advice to Management

Give those individuals from a staffing agency a chance if they were good workers.

I worked at Cadence Financial full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Learned a lot of things not to do going forward

    Cons

No support from the ivory tower. The executives are interested in one thing and that's to go public and sell. They enjoyed finding quick fixes.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people instead of boxes of bandaids.

I worked at Cadence Financial full-time

    Pros

This is a place to gain experience to take elsewhere to further your career.

    Cons

Very political. Advancements are not based on performance, but favoritism. Unqualified management. Low pay

    Advice to Management

Start appreciating your employees. Change your motto of employees will do more with less. Start paying your employees based on qualifications and experience opposed to who's buddy with management

I worked at Cadence Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers with 10, 15, 20+ years prior to the bank being bought out.

    Cons

New management does not listen nor understand what goes on at the bottom level.

    Advice to Management

Should consider surveying all employees to get the real feedback instead of listening to middle mgmt.

I worked at Cadence Financial full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

This was a good company to work for before Superior Bank bought them out.

    Cons

Management was only interested in protecting their jobs and salaries. Employees with any knowledge of banking and accompanying regulations were laid off, fired or pressured to quit . Unbelievable bullying and backstabbing were daily occurrences. I was told by senior management that my manager was not hired to know my job and how it worked, but was hired to simply manage me. I was pulled aside and told not to give any help or info to FDIC the night they took over the bank.

    Advice to Management

You should have went to jail.
