    Pros

Cal-Maine has a relatively laid back atmosphere. Everyone has a job to do, and mostly, everyone tries to have a good time while doing it.
Benefits are good, medical, dental, life insurance, holiday pay etc. Very family oriented, great management. Locally and upper.

    Cons

Early and often long hours. But it is what you make of it.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. I look forward to growth in this company.

I have been working at Cal-Maine Foods as an intern

    Pros

Young leadership mixed with seasoned leaders. Young does everything by the book and exemplifies the opportunities in Cal Maine. Old know tricks and tips due to experience and provide proof that Cal Maine is worth making a career with. Flexible.

    Cons

Long hours. Not paid hourly. Can be hard to put in extra time when you're not getting paid for it.

    Advice to Management

Change intern pay to hourly. That is the standard in the industry and a salary base really provides no benefit to the employee while providing little to the company.

I worked at Cal-Maine Foods full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Upper management is amazing
    Benefits packages are great.

    Cons

Demoralizing work env for women- 3x the work, zero the credit.
    Salary wages need to go.
    Better payment for employees.

    Advice to Management

You really need to invest and consider women as part of the team. I can't speak for all farms, but the good old boys club is still large and in charge. There's still big problems here. Had things been better in management to this regards, I may have stayed.
