I worked at Cal State East Bay

    Pros

Great people, diverse campus, easy to get along with others you are working with.

    Cons

If you can get a student job there, the pay grade is normally very low compared to what other types of menial work could be. The job may be worth taking for experience, but if money is needed to pay for school, then it is not an option. Plus with the heavy quarter course system, it can make it very hard to have any type of life outside of school and work.

I worked at Cal State East Bay part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Got to work with/for great people, had a job I loved, scheduling was flexible, convenient with being on-campus.

    Cons

Low to average hourly wages, paychecks come once a month instead of bi-weekly, hours are limited during school sessions.

    Advice to Management

More regular pay raises, employee evaluations.

I worked at Cal State East Bay

    Pros

The best part working at CSU East Bay knowing the great people that are there. You'll meet great people from different departments and maybe some in your own. They are supportive and will understand the hardships you feel working for this place.

    Cons

Rarely any upward growth and if you're lucky the Union will come through for you for a .5% raise or COLA increase.

    Advice to Management

I just think the cutlure of this place don't promote raises or IRP and management shouldn't change employee's review to all the same because they didn't pay attention to what they do while they work on their own agendas.
