I have been working at Caldwell Partners International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Supportive, smart and creative with the right mix of process and empowerment. Excellent environment to learn at all levels.

    Cons

No real "lift" from the brand so its often challenging for newly minted partners in the first year to two.

I have been working at Caldwell Partners International full-time

    Pros

Small company though has grown/growing. Decent benefits/bonuses. Cohesive colleagues for the most part.

    Cons

Small offices are clickish, can be a peyton place. Poor behavior partners with high revenue are "coddled." No 401K match.

    Advice to Management

Take "temperature" of all employees...not just partners.

I have been working at Caldwell Partners International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Wonderful CEO, transparent structure, client centric

    Cons

If you are looking for "brand lift" in terms of building your own book of search business, you won't get that at Caldwell. The partners are fantastic, but are focused on serving clients not mentoring new partners.

    Advice to Management

Put better incentive programs in place for the support teams around the firm.

    Pros

Team environment. Great benefits (even if in USA, benefits are at or above the Canadian level).

    Cons

Well, it's executive search, so cut-throat mentality will serve you well.

    Pros

generous compensation, genuinely great people that love where they work. The organizational culture is energetic, motivated, and everyone seems to be really happy working here. The people are a huge component to the success of this company. Caldwell is very much a work hard play hard company!

    Cons

Lean benefits package, work life balance can be hard during busy season but the team makes it bearable!

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what youre doing, employees love working at Caldwell and everyone is genuinely happy.

I have been working at Caldwell Partners International full-time

    Pros

Well established and recognizable brand amongst both Clients and Candidates. Strong search processes, albeit borderline excessive.

    Cons

Albeit a good thing to have a solid process (which Caldwell has), basing Associate success and compensation on process and not the end result combined with process can be demotivating.

    Advice to Management

Create more opportunity for succession from Associate to Partner or Project Coordinator to Associate.

I worked at Caldwell Partners International as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing support from fellow associates. Have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities if the exec team sees your capabilities.

    Cons

As a summer intern, there was a lot of administrative work involved which was a little boring. However, you were given the opportunity to participate in lots of search work which developed your research skills.
