    Pros

I really don't have too many pros. The people outside of product development/design were always very nice. The people at the St.Louis headquarters always seemed very nice. Lots of perks if you're in the St. Louis office.

    Cons

Hostile work environment, crazy hours, extremely small HR department, no job training, not a lot of movement within company.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees better

I worked at Caleres (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, compensation, culture and values. Nice, clean, and large office space. Like most offices, you will come across employees who are friendly and helpful while a few can be a bit not so friendly or nice.

    Cons

Depending which brand you work for or "Manager" -- management is not the greatest, no work life balance which means staying in late, late lunch, working weekends during Market week, and last minute projects that is required to be done before you leave.

    Advice to Management

Prioritize the work load based on what needs to be done and what can wait for the next day. Hard to believe all the work must be done within the same day. Do not treat your employee as if they were robots required to get the work done ASAP or in minutes when most of the work load can take time to gather and get done just to avoid errors.
