    Pros

    Some teams are well functioning
Good investment levels to drive business
    Employee discount
Good teams / projects sprinkled around
    Pension and vacation meets/beats competition

    Cons

Significant waste and inertia to evolve, compete among vets in the org

Leadership culture where ownership of the work, kpi's, cost savings are skillfully skirted

History of quietly passing along and eliminating positions of long time employees--some have suggested it even has a gender bias with more women vs. male vets being laid off

HR fosters a sneaky/bad culture, employees are treated like burdens

    Advice to Management

    Overhaul HR
    Hold leadership accountable
Check your promotions and eliminations for gender bias

I worked at Caleres (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, compensation, culture and values. Nice, clean, and large office space. Like most offices, you will come across employees who are friendly and helpful while a few can be a bit not so friendly or nice.

    Cons

Depending which brand you work for or "Manager" -- management is not the greatest, no work life balance which means staying in late, late lunch, working weekends during Market week, and last minute projects that is required to be done before you leave.

    Advice to Management

Prioritize the work load based on what needs to be done and what can wait for the next day. Hard to believe all the work must be done within the same day. Do not treat your employee as if they were robots required to get the work done ASAP or in minutes when most of the work load can take time to gather and get done just to avoid errors.
