I worked at California Baptist University part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you are a student, it is very convenient I learned a lot of office skills like how to be a receptionist, process documents, and write professionally Great way to establish friendships and community with people you normally may not have had the chance to meet Flexible hours that accommodated my school schedule, supervisor was really understanding This office really cares about students and puts in extra effort, time, and energy for their international students

    Cons

Minimum wage is all you are going to be able to get Our student worker team put in at least twice as much effort and work than any other student worker job on campus but didn't have any opportunities to advance or get more benefits for it Felt out of the loop of new information and would only hear second hand like the introduction of new majors or when we were scheduled to give tours

I worked at California Baptist University part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Positive atmosphere, uplifting environment, motivates staff, beautiful location, flexible hours. There is a low staff to student ratio which makes for a positive student worker experience.

    Cons

There were no cons that I personally encountered during my time here. I was a student worker for three years.

I have been working at California Baptist University part-time

    Pros

It's a student worker position so they completely work with your school schedule and you can get about a full 28 hours per week if you have the availability.

    Cons

You will not have much growth within the IT department. It seems like they prefer not hiring previous student workers for full time positions.

I have been working at California Baptist University for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work with college schedule and sometimes flexible.

    Cons

Can only work part-time because CBU doesnt want to give student workers or other staff any benefits. They are very strict, and cap the maximum of 28 hours a week. Some managers can be unreasonable, some are pleasant and truly represent their Chrisitan values they claim to have. No pay raises either....
