RecommendsPositive OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at California Baptist University full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
CBU has an amazing community of staff and faculty, a beautiful work environment, and opportunities to continually invest in the lives of students no matter what the role. Health and retirement benefits are great as well. Full-time staff have the opportunity to lead an International Service Project as part of their role, pending approval of area VP, without using PTO.
Cons
Compensation is rather low and also quite secretive, which makes it difficult to discern whether you're receiving a fair wage. Opportunities for upward mobility are infrequent, since many roles are filled internally and employment decisions are often based on prior relationships.

I worked at California Baptist University full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Christian work environment with a great reputation in the community. Great benefits and 403B match.
Cons
Seems most people are hired because they know someone, so it can be difficult for an outsider to gain respect and trust. Lots of clicks who stick together and close others out. People talk too much; there are no secrets and what you think is said in private will most likely be shared with someone who tells someone else.
