    Pros

    You control your day... if you put in the proper work during your 37.5 to 40 hour scheduled week, you definitely can reap the rewards. Excellent income potential that comes with the production. You have to dial on your leads and get in front of customers. This is completely doable, but you have to be responsible for yourself and complete the activities. Flexible work schedule, your team leader will work and has good supportive team atmospheres in both locations. The people are awesome in both locations. Quality.

    No cons if you are disciplined to the process and work the leads.

    Pros

    Working at Cal Cas offers a variety of day to day claims handling. This allows personal growth and positive challenges that a mundane 9-5 position may not offer. I enjoy that after 14+ years with Cal Cas, I am still able to come to work and learn something new each day.
    Cal Cas offers competitive wages, on-going education (for those interested in pursuing), and state mandated testing for claims handling.

    Cons

    Cal Cas is a smaller company, permanent advancement does take time however, management is aware of those that are looking to progress their careers with the company.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees, invest in those employees who are invested in the company.

    Pros

    California Casualty goes the extra step to insure they hear their employees and customers. IT Sinsurance...it's not fun for anyone...it's a necessity and this company and the people I work with are great... family friendly and professional and fair.

    Cons

    No part time and limited flex hours due to company needs. Summers are busy so hard to take any extended time off.

    Advice to Management

    Management is wonderful... maybe more flexibility in schedules... early close on Fridays... saves utilities if the entire closes up shop during the summer early on Fridays in Az and maybe off set it for early Fridays in colder climates...

    Pros

    I've been with California Casualty for over 15 years and in that time, I have watched many changes occur in the organization. I've read some of the previous reviews and I'm really surprised by how angry some people seem to be. Yes, the company has changed over the years, but we can't keep doing things the same way and expecting to stay in business. This really is a great company to work for. Management does care about its employees and appreciates the longevity of is staff. I've had many positions in my 15+ years and have really enjoyed growing and learning. Do I love every change that has been made here? Of course not! But, I'm not running the show and I don't have the knowledge or experience to do so either and I believe that changes made are for the future of the company and its employees. It doesn't negate the positives of working here. If you are a good employee and do your job, you will have a really successful career here. If you want your own way and are a complainer, then please look elsewhere.

    Cons

    I don't love how much the healthcare coverage costs, but I recognize that the company takes the majority of the increases in premium and that this is an issues everywhere. It is great health coverage. Our IT systems are antiquated and it seems we just keep putting band aids on things.

    Get our technology up to date!

    Pros

    The company culture is very much like a family as we all support each other. There is a fun vibe with a casual environment. There is plenty of opportunity to advance if you are driven. This is a solid company and I am happy to head into the office and see co-workers that are more like friends. And yes, our CEO does know your name and is a really nice person. You will see a combination of hard-working, bright people that are also caring. Yes, the combination exists at this company. If you are looking for a sales position, you can have a huge career here. There are sales consultants with 15 and 20 years of tenure.

    Cons

    Sometimes resources are limited, but CalCas has key people in the correct positions to solve issues.

    Advice to Management

    This was the best career decision of my life. I relocated to Kansas City to specifically join the CalCas family. Keep doing what you do!
