I have been working at California Check Cashing full-time

    Pros

Easy enough to learn. You're almost guaranteed to get hired. Hours available.

    Cons

Lots of responsibilities for low pay. Collection calls. Wire transfers. Cleaning. Check Cashing. You have to always try and up sale loans with ridiculously high interest rates. Underwriting

    Advice to Management

Learn how to actually do the job hands on before trying to designate all these rules.

I worked at California Check Cashing (More than 10 years)

    Pros

People were engaging and there was always an abundance of work.
Close-knit feeling as the company was growing.
401-k had a good match and decent choices

    Cons

Corporate management completely changed and with it came the end of the family feeling.
Centralization and de-humanization of the customers that drove the growth and revenue stream. They simply became a monetary amount.
Continual policy changes and low tolerance by management if the employees didn't keep up and memorize the constant barrage of changes

    Advice to Management

Spend a little more time listening to the front line employees; they know the customers and the localized revenue stream. The customers are actual people and should be treated as such. The same for the employees.

I worked at California Check Cashing full-time

    Pros

It's a fairly easy job to do if you want the kind of job that doesn't challenge you. If a set routine is your thing then this maybe for you but keep in mind that you cap off evenually and there is no more room for growth after that.

    Cons

Low wage, benefits are ok but could be better, hours are not great and more training should be given to all employees and future propects.
