I worked at California Office of the Attorney General full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Friendly people, some hard workers out there. The projects aren't the most interesting, but you can have such a great work-life balance, and can earn enough to have a comfortable middle-class life.

    Cons

Government job, so salary is political football, and some lazy bureaucrats. The lazy lifers make the job the worst. But if you find a good unit with a good boss, it's workable.

I have been working at California Office of the Attorney General

      Pros

Gov job benefits - time off Contributing through working on cases or programs you believe in. Good stability / work-life balance for people with families ... Or lower skilled workers ability to work way up to prof level legal work (office staff)

      Cons

Not a good place for non-attorney professional staff. Attys rule the place (as they should it's a legal office), but for me personally as an auditor it's not a great place to work.

      Advice to Management

For my program to be completely canceled. I'm sure my program is not the only waste in such a huge department.
