I worked at Callaway Golf as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

As an intern at Callaway, I was involved in many meaningful projects that directly affected the company. Callaway allowed me to make my own decisions in deciding the direction of the projects while also providing a great support team in supervisors and other members of the engineering time. I earned great experience that stands out on my resume.

    Cons

You are really only exposed to the specific department you work for, so if you're looking to gain exposure to multiple departments, it is unlikely. However, Callaway does a great job of showing you all aspects of their departments, so while you may not do work in other departments, you are aware of what they are doing.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Callaway. Perhaps allow interns to work for an additional department to gain further experience, even if it's only for a week or so.

I worked at Callaway Golf full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good company to work for. Almost no drama and everyone is not afraid to help out. My experience was that almost everyone that was working there knew their job.

    Cons

Provide a challenge for some of your staff. Some are just sitting there doing the same thing year over year.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. You have turned it around!

I worked at Callaway Golf full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I liked the team atmosphere. Designated team for a new product coming out and can brainstorm ideas together and actually make some of these crazy and wild ideas come to fruition. There's lots of flexibility in the ways that products are marketed- the company is doing a great job with staying on top of social media outlets as mean of communication and marketing. Fun environment overall.

    Cons

Salary is the one aspect of the job which could be better, There have been a lot of cuts recently in corporate, so there is always a fear of getting laid off- company seems to be on the rise, so hopefully that fear will dwindle.

    Advice to Management

Let the younger employees take on more responsibility. When I was younger, if I was given the chance to take the lead on a project it would have helped my leadership skills and even my creativeness.

I have been working at Callaway Golf full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Callaway provides an opportunity for employees to develop their own vision, implement it, and see it through. The management team has fostered a culture that is centered on passion and hard work-- and that's very rewarding.

    Cons

The cons are perhaps working within an industry that is high growth that can lead to strong YOY growth, etc. However it is within an industry that I'm passionate about and the culture and attitude reflects that.

    Advice to Management

Continue to find talent that is passionate about golf but has the ability to manage, inspire, and move organizations forward.
