    I worked at Callaway Golf

    Pros

Fun environment and great people to work with.

    Cons

Somewhat of an old boys club. If you’re not part of the “crew” you will struggle to get ahead.

I have been working at Callaway Golf full-time

    Pros

-Great people -Free Golf Product -Great discount on Golf products -Nice Office Environment

    Cons

New Management makes it hard to move up in the company. They keep cutting people and making teams much smaller. You work more and get paid the same. If you want to move up, sucking up is the only way. It is all about being in the right place at the right time. Be sure to negotiate your salary when you first join Callaway. You will climb up a very tall ladder from the 1st salary that was negotiated.

    Advice to Management

Look closely at employees experience. Make good use of employees credentials.

I worked at Callaway Golf full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great company to work for. Plenty of challenges, opportunities and great people. If you have a passion for golf and want to be in the industry, this is the place to work.

    Cons

Revolving layoffs plague the company, and Taylor Made has been kicking their butt in the market place for over 6 years now.

I worked at Callaway Golf full-time

    Pros

Opportunity for unique experiences. Neat to see things you work with everyday on TV on the weekends and feed off the energy of the pro tour. Great people.

    Cons

open door policy that blacklists you when you walk through it. If youre not in the club, youre not going anywhere. You either march to the drum or they march you out. New ideas are encouraged right up to when you offer them. Zero respect for work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Humility isnt weakness, its strength. Embrace the ideas of those below you.

I worked at Callaway Golf full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great people. Hopefully the recent changes to senior management at the company will make it a more progressive place to work. Benefits were good, but declining.

    Cons

Challenging to work in a declining industry such as golf. Non-traditional work situations rarely taken into consideration (telecommuting, job sharing, alternate work hours). There were layoffs so regularly for the last 5 years that many of the people that were great at there jobs and role models have left the company or were laid off because they were highly compensated.

I have been working at Callaway Golf

    Pros

The people, the environment, the team. You can enjoy working there as there is a relax environment, sometimes too relaxed. Great people in most of the areas creating a good working environment

    Cons

Flat structure, not many possibilities to progress or move laterally, managers not being able to mentor employees and HR not capable to address the situation
