I have been working at Callaway Golf full-time

    Pros

-Great people -Free Golf Product -Great discount on Golf products -Nice Office Environment

    Cons

New Management makes it hard to move up in the company. They keep cutting people and making teams much smaller. You work more and get paid the same. I worked at Callaway Golf full-time

    Pros

Good brand, good product discounts, good people working in the trenches, opportunities for growth if you work hard and network yourself with the right people.

    Cons

Golf industry is soft and consolidating, no real growth in this industry anymore. New management is constantly making changes to processes and shuffling people out the door. No real job security except for a few connected people.

    Advice to Management

New management is fixing problems laid down by previous leadership, however start improving communication to those in the trenches and stop allowing fear of job losses halt the organizations creativity.

I worked at Callaway Golf full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Still has some people in R&D who are best-in-class and deeply committed to the game and business of golf. Still has strong cache overseas due to effective management teams in Asia and Europe. New management team making the right moves from institutional investors' point of view

    Cons

Continuous mismanagement of the brand in the US since 2001, particularly so between 2006-2010. Declining market share. A new wave of layoffs every 6 months during the last two years. The longest serving CEO George Fellows in recent years was also completely out of touch with not only the golf industry but the global consumer products retail business climate in general. New management...
