Fast paced, performance focused, amazing culture
Jul 17, 2017 - Anonymous Employee in Dublin, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Callidus is a fast paced company with an amazing culture and visionary leadership. CallidusCloud employees work hard and play hard. This is a place where performance is key and your performance drives your compensation not your tenure - MVP can be anyone in the company and presidents club is not about sales only! Opportunities and room for growth and the company really does offer you the flexibility to pursue your interests. One of the few places where i have not seen red tape and focus on getting things done. All employees are encouraged to follow their passion and changing groups or role is very easy and even encouraged. I have seen management work hard ensuring not only that we do not lose good talent by providing enough opportunities but also rewarding top performers. Also, very considerate to work with employees individual circumstances. In my time here, i have seen HR going to extra length to try finding solution for an employee's personal situation. The leadership team has been visionary to build portfolio of a suite of products which together, are one of a kind in the market, has is very focused on the company vision and have really delivered results.
Cons
From my point of view, not any cons that i can think of. You are responsible for your own destiny here, there is help and guidance available, but you need to seek it.

Moving in the right direction
Nov 4, 2016 - Anonymous Employee in Dublin, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
~The ability to move up in the organization is great, but you just have to show that you want it; initiative goes a long way here in-terms of growing your career. ~My co-workers for the most part are very friendly and are very committed to making the company better. ~Office politics are at a minimum, however they do pop up every now and then, but what company doesn't have any politics ~Work hours are flexible which I love, but you can find yourself working long hours if you don't put a limit to yourself. ~Products continue to get better and the potential is limitless.
Cons
~Depending on what department you work for, there can be a resource and headcount constraint. ~Salary is a bit lower than average around the Bay Area and there is no formal review process which causes a majority of employees to fall significantly behind the average in their respected positions even if they came in at average or even above. The only current way to counter this is by taking the initiative to reach out to their manager for a review and raise. ~Career opportunities are plentiful, however the path is not drawn out very clearly. ~The company has a very nice suite at Oracle for Warrior games, but only give the tickets to current and potential customers.

Pros
CallidusCloud is a place where you can reap the benefits of your effort and engagement. There is not shortage of opportunity at the company as it continues to grow and more exciting acquisitions are made. What makes it so rewarding is that you get out of it what you put into it, the same can not be said for many companies - I don't think everyone realizes this. The leadership team are approachable and have done a great job I think - In the few years Ive been here, the company has continued to grow, teams have got bigger and the results have got better. The ESPP is a great benefit.
Cons
There is not much handholding on offer here. There is a great opportunity to learn and advance your career, but you will need to be proactive and drive it. There is lots going on at CallidusCloud and in some cases, there are not enough resources to achieve everything you want to. So be prepared to run hard and prioritize - if you can then you will be fine.

Pros
New HQ, great facility with everything you can need. Amenities include: fridge stocked with beverages, espresso machines, snack dispensers, pool table, ping pang table, and gym. Weekly events like beer bash, lunches, and ice cream social. Executive staff is very approachable and seem like nice people. CEO is very down to earth and will chat with you at the coffee machine any time.
Cons
Culture seems to vary by department. There are a lot of siloes which is odd for a company still relatively small. Litmos team is practically their own company and seem to be very happy and have lots of fun. Leadformix team is withering away. Marketing doesn't seem to have the same flat structure. It's hard to get support from them - if it's not on their list to produce, they won't do it. Not sure if the guy is just a jerk or if his team is just too busy. Finance seems to have a lot of turn over. And it's a huge department, half the floor.

Life post-acquisition exceeded my expectations
Jan 9, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in Dublin, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Entrepreneurs often share horror stories of counting down the calendar post acquisition. This is NOT one of those stories. As a founder, I feel challenged, appreciated and rewarded on a daily basis. I now spend more time on product and sales - the two things that I personally find most rewarding I regularly discuss with my founder firends how lucky my team and I are to have been acquired by this company. I have made many introductions to a few founders to the Corp Dev team and I wanted to document why * It is a public company but is very agile and behaves like a big startup * Great culture that aligned with ours - work hard, play hard. * Transparent communication - open door policy and easy to have straight-talking conversations directly with exec team. CEO is v. approachable * Respect for the team and individuals - open to opinions, the way things may have worked and open a discussion. Straight-talking encouraged * Independence - indepedence or autonomy to grow the business. Especially on product direction which is always important to a founder As a company, we feel like we are an empowered division within the big company. We are growing the business at a great pace and feel rewarded in doing so.
Cons
Getting up to speed with internal stakeholders and process (more a reflection of being in a different timezone / office)

Pros
If you are willing to work and deliver you can move up quickly. I like the work, I make good money. My manager has given me more work than I am use to but I have learned more here than any other job so I am fine with it. I see myself staying here long term-- there is enough here to keep me interested for a long time. The company is a good company, the management is invested and I like the benefits and stock plans.
Cons
People who contribute stay those who don't will not stay long. Why is this a con? We run fast here, I mean really fast, what took my old company 5 months to do we do here in 2 weeks-- hard to find people for our department who can keep pace.
