    Pros

A good opportunity to build relationships with your professors and fellow students. Reinforces your own understanding of the material.

As far as part time jobs go, there's nothing to complain about this one.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Calvin College part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people are great, and everyone genuinely cares about you. There was little to no micro-managing. Overall great job, its too bad it was a student position.

    Cons

The job has a short time span because it is a student position. With high turnovers there is little chance to gain momentum. Unfortunately, one of the co-directors is very inflexible.

I have been working at Calvin College (Less than a year)

    Pros

Seemingly every employee at Calvin, whether it be student workers, full-time staff, or management, is a wonderful, personable person. People at this college care about your life outside of work, will often be intentional to check in with you on both your work and your life, and are very approachable and understanding. In addition, everyone here believes in the work they are doing and are passionate about the school's mission.

    Cons

With it being a private institution, pay will likely be lower than comparative roles at public universities. In addition, if you're unfamiliar with Calvin, and don't have any interest of becoming more familiar with the culture, the atmosphere could seem pretty exclusive.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, and make sure every personality type and voice is valued!
