    Pros

Cambria provides the opportunity to drive your own career, and to be part of a dynamic company culture that fosters a strong sense of community.

    Cons

It is not always easy to predict where the future growth opportunities will be and to staff proactively, well in advance of those opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to provide growth opportunities for junior and mid-level employees, and development opportunities for the members of the upper management team.

I have been working at Cambria Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I joined Cambria a year ago and it has been by far the best decision I’ve made. Cambria is a firm that allows you to take control of your career and get back what you put in. The executive staff is always willing to assist, mentor, and present opportunities to those who seek them. Cambria has family culture and embodies an open door policy, so you never have to feel like you don’t have a voice.

Another great thing about Cambria, is its positive outlook. The firm has received national recognition and now has 7 offices across the US. Cambria is committed to innovation and offers wide range of modern technology solutions.

I would strongly recommend Cambria to anyone looking for strong career growth backed by a firm that is truly invested in you.

    Cons

Cambria being a smaller firm might not have the same benefits of other larger consulting firms, but I believe Camrbia's potential and positive outlook overcomes any short-comings.

I worked at Cambria Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The friendly staff in the office and stocked kitchen are the only pros.

    Cons

Took a bit of convincing to get to my low-end number, while being told that this was above the range for my position. Only to find out later that the range was subjective...they hire employees into other departments with less experience and lower job titles at a higher starting rate.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent and honest with the HR Manager.

    Pros

Great people that encourage growth, opportunity to learn new technology, incredible place to develop consulting skills, dynamic work environment.

    Cons

Limited structure; if you need well defined processes and clear line-of-sight authority, this may not be a good cultural match.

    Advice to Management

Continue doing what you are doing.

    Pros

Great team culture which provides a positive and innovative work environment, extensive collaboration, flexible hours, multifaceted roles which allow ability to get involved in many different areas, growth opportunities within specific internal departments or a variety of clients, strong company reputation, successful projects in multiple industries (Healthcare, Transportation, Finance and Administration) leading to additional work nationwide, visionary and established firm goals.

    Cons

Changing Infrastructure, however needed to support extensive growth.

I have been working at Cambria Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Chance to work on some interesting public government projects in the transportation and health and human services industries.

    Cons

Though there is a "non-hierarchical" style of managing and many areas remain the responsibility of the employee when it comes to offering input and ideas the power structure is opaque and top down. This makes for an unpleasant stifling experience. There was also a lack of training and a reluctance to offer constructive information to new employees.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to improve the lines of communication between employees and work to incorporate the creative contributions of temporary or at will employees. Treat all employees regardless of employment status like they are valued members and you will have better productivity returns.

    Pros

The people and culture are great at Cambria solutions. The team, people are very knowledgeable and willing to assist peers and colleagues. The leadership also listens and take measures to address constructive feed back as appropriate.

    Cons

The company is small. The support system is not the same as big consulting firms. The hours can be excessive at time. The project portfolio is litmited to a few industries...

    Advice to Management

May consider addressing work life balance and limit the excessive hours for consultants.

    Pros

More than any other firm I've worked with, Cambria seeks to be teammates with its clients to help solve problems. Cambria's Executives really care about their people. They allow for travel flexibility, prioritize work on challenging and innovative projects, and invest in maintaining the culture with bi-annual meetings and more. You will also get opportunities to grow in your career more at Cambria than at similar firms.

    Cons

Cambria is trying to be a disruptive company in the government consulting market and that brings change around every corner. If you are not open to change on a regular basis, then Cambria will be a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in national expansion and telling the Cambria story outside of just California.

    Pros

Young growing company. CEO is very focused on success and keeping up with the markets. Very flexible work and hands off management. They allow professionals to be professionals.

    Cons

Chaotic at times with the amount of work being delivered. Always trying to find more staff and add new people to keep up with the work demand. A bit immature, but have good leadership that are making changes to install processes.

    Cons

You have to enjoy working in a high paced, fast changing environment, where you'll be juggling multiple commitments and project assignments at the same time.

    Advice to Management

Keep the strong culture alive as the company continues to grow.
