    Pros

Good place to start in FX. Successful sales people can make decent money, however competition is fierce .

    Cons

Empty promises, no training and support, pay and benefits aren't great.

    Advice to Management

Provide more vacation time, better benefits, and higher base salary.

I have been working at Cambridge Mercantile full-time

    Pros

If you are a go getter and have experience in FX or Treasury Sales this is the place to be. Been in the industry for 20+ plus years. Cambridge has the best technology and service of anyone hands down. The payment process works well. When a customer service issue occurs it is handled quickly.

Advice for any position: There are a few comments about salary and benefits. You have the opportunity when you are hired to accept or reject the base salary and benefits packaged offered. You should only accept a position if you are happy with the offer.

    Cons

Cambridge is a great place to work but you are required to work. If you have experience in FX and Sales you will immediately see the benefits. If not, you should be prepared to work at learning about Cambridge, FX and Treasury. You will be selling primarily to people who have business backgrounds. This does take effort on your part. There are many experienced people to help you. Just don't expect to have classroom training. This is a job that requires the ability to learn and grow. If your plan is to be here for under 18 months then you are wasting your time.

    Advice to Management

401K Match. Lower health care costs.

    Pros

If you work hard, you will make a lot of money. Best online system in the business. Top non-bank provider outside of Western Union as far as compensation and corporate solutions go

    Cons

Typical company politics can prohibit career growth as well as sales. Way harder to succeed if you are younger and not a management favorite

    Advice to Management

Do internal interviews with front-line sales employees without their managers knowledge. You will be surprised to hear some honest feedback that could help the company have better management practices

    Pros

you finish at 5pm- that is the best part

    Cons

company does not match your 401K, don't give you salary raise, have the lowest salaries in the finance industry, and gives you 10 days vacation per year. New employees will pay 50% for their health insurance plan.

    Pros

Not really many pros. some people are enjoyable to work with. Others are not.

    Cons

It feels like there is little to no upward movement. Eventually you realize that this place is just a stop till your next job.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your people

I worked at Cambridge Mercantile (More than a year)

    Pros

Great initial team work at all levels. Became Western Union office city by city.

    Cons

Western Union takeover once Option contracts were pushed hard on loyal clients. Became bush t favouritism of WUBS employees hired and young BDs in suits.

    Advice to Management

Treat clients with respect not just send them to other cities for trade support without a choice.

I have been working at Cambridge Mercantile full-time

    Pros

The Company is sound. The product is exceptional. Their understanding of the market and the FX Solutions is incredible.

    Cons

There is no training, no interaction from management at all. They expect you to get the job they want done without any interaction or direction at all. When asked for help and assistance or even training, was told that I would receive it later or that I could listen to calls.

    Advice to Management

Start a training and new hire orientation. Work with the people you hire or mentor them with others to allow them to become as good of a salesperson, technical person, or trader as you are a at providing the solution you have. It does not sell itself.

I worked at Cambridge Mercantile full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good products, most of the staff are friendly, company is respected enough within its industry that you can get a much higher paying job at a competitor within a year or so. Salary above average for the industry.

    Cons

High turnover, no training, no upward mobility (only hire from outside the company for anything more advanced than setting appointments over the phone), no transparency regarding revenue and commission for lower-level staff. Commission and bonus opportunities very low compared to competitors.

    Advice to Management

More training, more transparency, and try to make better hiring decisions in order to reduce turnover.

    Pros

Great company, great leadership, good product and ability to scale, customize, offer competitive pricing etc. Open to virtual office, great CEO, strong, ethical company with industry respect, well managed, privately owned. operated conservatively. Awesome health benefits, strong salaries generally, liberal vacation (for sr roles). Upper management caring and respectful of employees work life balance. Extra company holidays/time off for Jewish holidays is an added perk.

    Cons

I really didn't see any big flaws and they are open to change and feedback if things aren't working. No complaints come to mind. Sometimes ops could be slow and not always held accountable for errors
