    Pros

Great people to work with. Management were good to work for and fair. Good employer.

    Cons

Need more investment in living quarter infrastructure at the older camps.

    Advice to Management

The management style has been good. Please don't change it to one of corporate greed as so many other mining companies have done.

    - Safety first
    - Knowledgeable Staff
    - Great Project Mangers and Management

    Cons

    - When working on Mine Site, treated as a "contractor" when you employed directly with Cameco (Exploration Division)

    Advice to Management

    - Provide more oversight on project staff.

I worked at Cameco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people. The location, so much untouched beauty. Not over supervised by my direct supervisor. Excellent group of tradesmen to share and learn new skills.

    Cons

Over focused on special interest groups. Frequent changes made to operation that appeared to have no benefit but costed a lot. Advancement not always available to the hardest working or best suited.

  5. "The people were great, the work was exciting and challenging but the lifestyle was difficult. Mgmt. was disfunctional."

    I worked at Cameco full-time

    Pros

People were great, compensation was great, work was rewarding. Gained experience with many softwares including gemcom, arcgis, mapinfo and leapfrog.

    Cons

Work long hours in remote settings under extreme environmental conditions. Management was not clear with expectations as they could not agree amongst themselves. Plenty of favourtism displayed amongst management and throughout the company.

    Advice to Management

Learn to work with each other and foster a positive, engaging work environment.

    Pros

High safety values, camps are decent, students are paid fairly well compared to other companies. Great community involvement. You get a week off at a time

    Cons

You work long hours if you are at site. Students are usually in contractor trailers which are not as nice as main camps.

  7. "Great company to work for. The benefits are great and the salaries competitive."

    Pros

Benefits are really good, competitive salary, long term employment was quite common until recently, many front line leaders are excellent to work for.

    Cons

Fair bit of buerocracy, company in difficult times for near future but that should clear up once prices climb back, very focused on operations.

    Advice to Management

While prices are low and economic conditions difficult, be wary of trimming too much middle management. They may not return and you're losing a lot of potential future leaders.

    Cons
