I have been working at Camelot Care Centers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great people to work with
    - Mission is solid
    - Genuine care and concern for clients
    - Supportive team

    Cons

    - Upper management only cares about bottom dollar
    - Upper management can be dishonest
    - Pay is lower than industry standard
    - Little room for upward growth in pay or title

    Advice to Management

Care more about your employees and be honest and direct with them. If you aren’t going to pay your employees what they are worth, at least treat them with respect.

I worked at Camelot Care Centers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pro was working with the families and helping children.

    Cons

This company does not go for the best interest of the minor. There more for the money and do not care of the child has no plan to age out. The company also does not care for safety of their workers. I would say this is the worst company I worked for and wish I could have stayed because I cared for my kids on my caseload. This company is the reason why I left social services.

    Advice to Management

Start looking at best interest for children. We have many children going to jail and not trusting us because you don’t care. You also need to really see what it’s like to be out on the field. Don’t assume that everything is easy.

I worked at Camelot Care Centers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility is the best reason to work here. Along with the experience in child welfare. I loved my coworkers

    Cons

Pay pay pay. They absolutely do not pay enough. Director is very unprofessional and I did not learn anything under her clinical experience. Treatment team meetings were basically a gossip fest with no growth of learning interventions.

    Advice to Management

Pay more money at least be competitive with other agencies for social workers.

    Pros

Great learning opportunity, especially as a first job out of school. Coworkers are kind and people make genuine efforts to help clients.

    Cons

Stressful work environment, unrealistic expectations for productivity, little room to advance within the company, sometimes little support from management.
