    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Campbell Soup Company full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

401k, on-site daycare, free soup Fridays in Camden, company store on-site, on-site gym, flexibility dependent on manager

    Cons

Constantly changing strategic direction (hopefully changing now that there is a new CEO in place); company has struggled with performance; bonuses not paid out in 2018

    Advice to Management

Create strategic direction - choose a few battles to fight and stick with seeing those through vs. trying to tackle everything and accomplishing nothing

I have been working at Campbell Soup Company full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great individuals to work with especially on projects. Emphasis on collaboration and building relationships. Pays extremely well for most roles - actually above market in most cases.

    Cons

Too many personal agenda's leading the organization versus a comprehensive strategy. Many believe money is the motivator versus good leadership and development. Over pays vs market which can be challenging when looking for a new role.

I worked at Campbell Soup Company full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Brand recognition and household penetration

    Cons

Meeting-centric culture that values face-time over actually getting work done; absolutely NO flexibility to work remotely and work/personal balance. Culture is extremely toxic... kind of like Game of Thrones set in a corporate environment. The former president of the sales company was a tyrant, and was known as the biggest bully in the company, yet he was rewarded for 11 years. Old-school manage-by-fear style that was emulated by many others. Back-stabbing and passive-aggressive behavior permeate all levels of the company.

    Advice to Management

Stop tolerating poor leadership behaviors from your leaders and employees; take a look at your turnover (particularly in HR) and figure out why so many of your talent is leaving. During exit interview, I was told that HR had lost 19 HR professionals in less than a year.

Let people make decisions you pay them to make - stop second guessing, stop asking for reams of data and then chase squirrels rather than make up your minds.
