I worked at Campbell Soup Company full-time

    Pros

"Campbell Soup" looks great on a resume. You'll eventually need that because you won't want to stay long at this company.

    Cons

Where do I begin??? Politics, politics, politics. I guarantee you that all the positive reviews are coming from young, white, thin, and attractive employees because Campbell Soup discriminates. Hey Talent Management: Why don't you comment on the negative reviews? They're the ones that are providing the truth.

    Advice to Management

What's the point? They don't listen anyway. Denise Morrison - you are not better than everyone else. Ask yourself this question: WWDD? (What Would Doug Do?)

I worked at Campbell Soup Company (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The future vision coming from headquarters in Camden is needed for survival.

    Cons

Unfortunately each satellite site and plant just plays lip service to the corporate vision, only going through the motions.

    Advice to Management

Look toward the future and be less concerned about local politics.

I worked at Campbell Soup Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

On-site cafeteria is has a great selection of tasty food.

    Cons

Where do I start? There is a serious leadership problem here at Campbell, as well as a cultural problem. Leaders are afraid to speak up; and often blame their employees when goals are not met. No accountability here. Good people are pushed out the door that try to make positive changes - they are seen as "rocking the boat", meanwhile, "lifers" who have never delivered are kept on staff. I hated going to work after about 6 months at the Campbell Soup Company. Had to get out. HR is also very incompetent. No employee development here.

    Advice to Management

    RETIRE.

    Pros

company store was wonderful for a family

    Cons

Failure of management and HR to properly investigate hourly (union) employees because they are afraid they might get "angry". IN a small town like Napoleon Ohio, there's always someone who want to get a friend in the door and wont hesitate to stab you in the back to get you replace with said friend.

    Advice to Management

    hire through corporate without prejudice

I worked at Campbell Soup Company full-time

    Pros

Hard-working colleagues who have become life-long friends. Reasonable pay and good benefits.

    Cons

"Imagine...working for a company that knows that its people are the key to its success in the marketplace." Huh? This is definitely NOT Campbell Soup! The employees are treated like little children. And bullying is apparently encouraged because nobody does anything to stop it. The company allows great employees leave but retains the bullies. Recently, two of the bullies had their jobs eliminated. The cheers were heard throughout the building! People are finally able to come to work and not be afraid.

    Advice to Management

Why do you allow people to be treated so poorly? It's not okay to be picked on and slandered. And, when people complain, they all of a sudden start getting bad performance reviews. A blind man can see what's going on and yet the company allows it to continue. Campbell Soup doesn't care about people.

I worked at Campbell Soup Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Strong brand identity, diversified product line. I really wish I had more to add.

    Cons

Politics are a nightmare. It's not about how you perform, but how you fit into their culture. Lots of grind, non value added tasks. Meetings...lots and lots of meetings.

    Advice to Management

What's the point? The bureaucracy is what this company is about. They will never embrace any new ideas....it's been proven again and again.
