    Pros

Large portfolio provides scale resulting in large gross sales and trade management responsibility. Campbell's provides autonomy to run your business as you see fit.

    Cons

Like many organizations achievement of higher level roles require networking and relationships at headquarters. You need to "play the game"

    Advice to Management

Strive to create equal opportunities for advancement for all employees - not just those in "the club"

    Pros

Compared to other companies I worked for, you have a tremendous amount of flexibility and autonomy at Campbell's, two things that were really important to me. I've worked at other companies where true decision-making was top down, but it never felt like that for me at CSC. Some of that may have been manager-dependent, but I think for the most part, it was the case.

    Cons

While we tended to own 'decisions', there are a lot of 'consults' that needed to happen along the way that felt like unnecessary work. I was also at Campbell's during a particularly tumultuous time - they had introduced as Voluntary Separation Package for near retirees and did a massive layoff of Marketing structure, where exactly ZERO people in leadership were let go. Morale was low and that was tough to face most days. I learned a lot from my manager but the trend in Big Food was tough to overcome, which is why I left.

    Advice to Management

Too many of them. 'Visionary' leadership that never really said anything substantial or groundbreaking. Leadership structure created unnecessary need for alignment and slowed down decision-making in a company/category/industry where speed to market and new ideas are important.
