I worked at Campbell Soup Company (More than 10 years)

    Pros

great people and teams. All work together to accomplish whatever management asks them

    Cons

In the drive to be a world class company Campbell has forgotten about the little people (the everyday employee who puts in extra hours without hesitation). The focus is on the line, people are a necessary inconvenience.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Campbell Soup Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

good pay and lots of overtime available, laziness on the part of HR means that incompetence will get hired back year after year.

    Cons

no loyalty, dishonest, no accountability, diverse to a fault, poor to no training, no appreciation for improvement in efficiency, possibly because middle management is taking credit for the ideas.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to have more contact with the floor personnel to know what is really going on, middle management is not above making scapegoats to hide their laziness or incompetence.

    Pros

company store was wonderful for a family

    Cons

Failure of management and HR to properly investigate hourly (union) employees because they are afraid they might get "angry". IN a small town like Napoleon Ohio, there's always someone who want to get a friend in the door and wont hesitate to stab you in the back to get you replace with said friend.

    Advice to Management

    hire through corporate without prejudice

I worked at Campbell Soup Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Solid place to work. Some growth potential. Good benefits. Camden, NJ really isn't bad b/c you don't actually have to live there... there's a lot of great places to live in the surrounding area and the PHL/S. Jersey area of the country is a nice place.

    Cons

Lack of long-term growth potential for the company... they are still stuck talking about soup.

    Advice to Management

Innovate, differentiate, expand, recognizing that reorganization is sometimes not an effective management strategy.

I worked at Campbell Soup Company (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very good company that values their employees and rewards hard work. Everyone that works with Campbell's is considered family, and I would recommend a job with this company to anyone. Employee engagement was a priority, which helped the organization be successful.

    Cons

Sometimes you feel like you are on an island, and aren't able to make a difference. It is all in how you approach your role. Morale starts to waiver during the summer when "annual" layoffs seem to occur.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Making the right acquisitions and planning for the future of the Millenials.

    Pros

Great corporate culture and values. Challenging, varied and interesting work. Fast paced environment.

    Cons

Too many organizational levels many times inhibit development of ideas and projects. Projects too frequently get stalled.

    Advice to Management

Management changes are too frequent. Managers replaced too often do not share company's values.

I have been working at Campbell Soup Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You can gain a tremendous amount of experience. The job will be what you make of it. You will be expected to work hard, but you will be well compensated along the way.

    Cons

It is extremely political. Not only do you need to be in the inner circle, but your boss must be too. Otherwise, you don't have a prayer of moving ahead. The CEO and the CHRO have created an extremely cut-throat and catty environment.

    Advice to Management

Really look at the culture. People are unhappy
