I have been working at Campbell Soup Company for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits are amazing and the laid back culture makes for great work/life balance

    Cons

Sometimes things move too slowly. Promotions early on are based more on time in role rather than skill.

    Advice to Management

Have some sort of acceleration program for quicker advancement

I have been working at Campbell Soup Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits, decent brands, invested in its people (sort of), and depending on your boss - great work/life balance New CEO who's looking to shake things up

    Cons

Unless you sit in Camden, NJ or visit frequently, you'll be passed over for higher roles. Constant changing alignments and what is supposed to be done day to day with re-orgs happening every year. Innovation lacking across most brands with brand teams not willing to listen to new ideas.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people. They know what's working and isn't working. And when you figure it out, stick to the strategy. Constant changes to strategy means constant re-work, loss of time/money, and inconsistency in how others see us. Fix innovation pipeline. Too often items are launched without any data/research to back it up why it's there in the first place, putting extra pressure on Sales teams to push out... product that makes no sense to the retailer. Start with data (real data not data from a focus group of campbell's loyalists). If the idea is to present real food to real people, then we need to be real about our brands.

I have been working at Campbell Soup Company full-time

    Pros

Great managers and leadership personnel that help people grow. Very flexible with personal life, so great work life balance. Potential for quick growth, depending where you are working at. All the normal benefits. Unlimited sick leave.

    Cons

Insurance is not that great. The employee discount perks are ok, nothing special but offered. Hard to grow if not working at world head quarters. A lot of changes, reorganizations, and uncertainty looking long term.

    Advice to Management

None- leadership has been great with my experience, very open and understanding, and willing to provide work/projects to grow. There just seems to be issues at the highest level within the company.
