I worked at Campus Crest full-time

    Pros

Very fun work environment. Great for part time or full time. Heavy in leasing sales and growth.

    Cons

Company operated on a split sales vs operations plateform. I would have liked to have seen properties working together leasing staff and the opporations staff.

    Advice to Management

Nothing to management. Over all I really enjoyed working for this company. The skills I learned during my years with Campus Crest paved my path in student housing.

    Pros

Great benefits, working with people and helping to develop employees, good incentives

    Cons

Lack of communication from some Regional Managers when needing onsite support. Changing policy and regulations often during pre-merger period.

I worked at Campus Crest full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun company to work for. Good opportunity to mold students into successful professionals. Offered great sales incentives and contests periodically. Provided me many traveling sales/marketing mentor opportunities in order to help struggling properties.

    Cons

Poor Communication from upper management. High turnover. Required community assistants to keep leasing office and clubhouse open until 10pm. Upper management based decisions on personal vendettas over business ethics.

    Advice to Management

Listen to onsite teams about property issues and business competition, and make changes instead of terminating employees immediately when they don't produce. Conduct actual market research. Urge control over spending. Your business is only as good as your people; so when you find good, honest workers, keep them.

I worked at Campus Crest part-time

    Pros

Good to work while in school and mostly flexible around busy test days.

    Cons

Not enough commission per lease signed unless there was specials corporate did as incentives. And clubhouse was open until 10pm which felt a bit unsafe to be closing at.

I worked at Campus Crest full-time

    Pros

Not much at the end they were spending money like crazy when everyone knew they were going under. I'm happy I was able to leave when I did.

    Cons

Uncertainty of what was going to happen next. Constant conference calls that left you more stressed about the future of the company than the last.

    Advice to Management

Don't work here. The properties are built poorly and no one is willing to put in the money to bring them up to par.

great experience as a college student studing business, challenging goals to overcome throughout each week

    Cons
