    Pros

50% discount on jackets, limit to 3 during the year 1 in store and the other 2 whenever Canada Goose tells you its time... so have that money saved up or you’ll miss it. You also have access to discontinued or over stock product on employe website where you can get unlimited amount or things during the year at 70-90% off sizes and everything can be limited. The company has an amazing culture in the work place! Employees...

The way they get the fur is not how they told us... you are not brainwashed but the lines are very blurry if you take the time to pay attention. They get protesters often... but that just brings more customers HONESTLY!!! Sell targets are often hard to reach because a lot of the customers speak mandarin so if you dont speak there language your losing 50% of all potential sales in store. Targets were between 6,000$-15,000$...

Stop thinking your so high and mighty! Come back earth and be nice! Dont let good employee go! Wear your black shoe like everyone else if your constantly going to criticize on others uniform and dress code! Stop being on your phone allll the time! And give a hand instead of giving more people to brand ambassador when they are clearly busy! Work and help your BA clean and maintain if your just going to stand there and...

Due to tremendous growth in recent years, the company has introduced so many new positions. The introduction of these new roles may make it hard to see where you can grow within in the company and which route to take.

    Pros

It’s a Canadian company. Lots of potential for growth within the company. Work life balance exists here. Team oriented. Canada Goose really believes in team bonding and encourages it. Canada Goose invests in high performing staff. You get to be apart of new store openings and help with their beginning. We have a close relationship with head quarters unlike other companies, where there was a real disconnect. Overall,...

I have been working at Canada Goose full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Opportunity to build processes from ground up - Working with ambitious and passionate young people - Unique global brand - Great bonus structure: beneficial as the company is growing rapidly so make more $$$$ - Decent perks: nice office, gym, 50% jacket discount

    Cons

    - Culture: it is a very toxic culture which is based on dishonesty, gossip and favouritism. feedback is inconsistent and very emotionally charged. Poor relationships amongst different departments. It is very fear driven. - Executive Team: All of them hate each other, meaning no one can agree on a long term growth strategy for the business. The initiatives change frequently, often leaving lower level employees confused...

    Advice to Management

This company has an AMAZING amount of growth potential, but the toxic culture will burn the organization down. Recognize that change is happening fast, but understand how to rebuild the culture to support people to grow.

    Pros

Free breakfast and 50% discount for jacket, still expensive but better than full price. There is couple great VP and Chief.

    Cons

So much politics and game blam. Mngrs they acting they love Canada goose but the truth they didn’t care for the company as long as they can find somebody to blame for their mistakes. A lot of lies and unfair environment, they play team games, they knew how to make thing happen, they don’t listen to you and if you didn’t agree for whatever they do then you are in trouble. Stay...

    Advice to Management

Clean the junk in your company, so many people became managers and directors just because they were with this company 6 or 10 years. That time Canada Goose wasn’t big that much, and to be able to grow and be a leading company you need to replace the junk with talented leaders who is talented who worked before in competitive world class companies.

    Pros

    - Exciting, fast growing company - Lots of buzz around the brand - Fast paced with lots of smart, energetic people - Decent pay depending on your level (and how well you negotiate) - Global HQ in Toronto; many roles support global functions - Opportunity to learn a lot - Casual attire - Office is large and well appointed - Lots of young people - High growth and good results = bonus are usually paid - 50% discount...

    - High growth and good results also means that bad behaviour can go unchecked - Decision-making is concentrated at the top of the organization i.e. teams are often not empowered to make the decisions that their roles mandate - Extraordinarily political environment, with members of the executive team jockeying for influence. - Large executive team which often slows down decision-making because consensus is...

    Advice to Management

Recognize that the pace of growth and change can be unnerving for the organization, and give careful thought to the kind of culture you want at Canada Goose...and then lead by example. Be visible (especially true for the CEO) and create more opportunities for yourselves to interact with employees (outside of just your teams!) to keep a finger on the organization's pulse. Get ahead of the leadership concerns in the...
