I have been working at Canada Goose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Team treats & perks, staff appreciation events, bagels on Fridays!! Onsite subsidized cafeteria, onsite gym for employees, employee empowerment! Great overall environment!! Great work life balance with work from home available and flex hours also.

    Cons

Commute not near a subway station like downtown offices. Parking also a challenge as new employees park offsite.

I have been working at Canada Goose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It’s a Canadian company. Lots of potential for growth within the company. Work life balance exists here. Team oriented. Canada Goose really believes in team bonding and encourages it. Canada Goose invests in high performing staff. You get to be apart of new store openings and help with their beginning. We have a close relationship with head quarters unlike other companies, where there was a real disconnect. Overall, a really good place to work for. They have amazing values and it’s nice to see that everyone embodies these values throughout the company.

    Cons

It’s a new company therefore a lot of policies are invented on the go.

I have been working at Canada Goose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great work life balance Lots of growth opportunity if you are willing to put the work in, they invest employees who invest themselves in the company I have been with the company for 2 years now and I have had the opportunity to work with different teams, work on different projects, travel for work and even had positive position changes. The CEO of the company makes it a point to make sure that he gets breakfast with all new staff, regardless of the level of position. They really invest in training for everyone, we were allowed to walk the factory floor with a factory manager so we could see the process of making a full parka. We also get to walk through head office and introduced to everyone.

    Cons

N/A - The company really takes care of the employees and take the time and energy to invest in people who want to be invested in. They just need to be willing to put the work in and not have everything handed to them.

I have been working at Canada Goose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Company with strong Canadian history - great competitive hourly rate - new company to retail (great opportunity for advancement) - positive and inviting workplace environment - team bonus structure - amazing open door policy - good employee purchase plan - upper management listens and provide a good work / life balance

    Cons

None! I think if you work hard and focus on the positive you will be rewarded. Negativity and gossiping really is NOT appreciated and may hinder opportunity for development.

"Good from far, far from good! Great business prospects, but difficult culture & leadership tarnish experience"

I have been working at Canada Goose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Exciting, fast growing company - Lots of buzz around the brand - Fast paced with lots of smart, energetic people - Decent pay depending on your level (and how well you negotiate) - Global HQ in Toronto; many roles support global functions - Opportunity to learn a lot - Casual attire - Office is large and well appointed - Lots of young people - High growth and good results = bonus are usually paid - 50% discount on apparel - working on developing a clear strategic direction to anchor the enterprise's effort - good career prospects (if you are a good politician!)

    Cons

    - High growth and good results also means that bad behaviour can go unchecked - Decision-making is concentrated at the top of the organization i.e. teams are often not empowered to make the decisions that their roles mandate - Extraordinarily political environment, with members of the executive team jockeying for influence. - Large executive team which often slows down decision-making because consensus is difficult to achieve. - Key members of the executive team live in other countries/timezones, and create productivity bottlenecks for their teams (find out where your leader lives before you accept a role at Canada Goose!) - Meeting-centric culture that leaves hardly any time for one to discharge one's duties, leading to work after hours/at home even for roles that are not very senior. 10-12 hour work days are the norm Work-life balance can be difficult to achieve. - Majority equity owner (Bain Capital) is heavily embedded within the organization., so depending on your role, you may have multiple taskmasters. - The culture is not welcoming of differing viewpoints. Diversity of thought and style are not always celebrated. - If you are a considering a role within the Design & Merchandising organization, proceed with caution. The team is fairly new, with an extremely experienced and intelligent leader at the helm, and is slowly finding its groove. However, said leader is temperamental, has hardly any tolerance for contrasting viewpoints and often leaves individuals stripped of their dignity. The team's trepidation is evident on their faces and in their reluctance to speak their minds and share their thoughts! It seems that self preservation wins over what would be best for the business.

I have been working at Canada Goose full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Top talent will be rewarded with above average compensation. Good bonus structure. Ability to buy jackets at a discount (though you can only order once a year for the following year). Casual dress code. Good employee benefits including newly added pension plan. Motivated workforce.

    Cons

Lacks work-life balance depending on department. Location makes it tough to commute (not go train accessible and not on the subway line). May be limited growth opportunities also depending on department.
