    Pros

    Salary, Benefits (Dental is top notch but NOT drugs).

    Cons

    Not stable. Always cuts cuts cuts. Even for permanent.
    Currently going through reorganization so a lot of people are losing their jobs. (Contractual and permanent alike).
    Hard to move up. Different offices deal with things as they please and they pick and choose their people for certain positions.
    Benefit medical is not great.
    Takes 5years + to become permanent.

    Advice to Management

    improvement needs to be made when it comes to contractual.

    Government Job, a very nice benefit package.

    Takes 5 years of uninterrupted service to become permanent.

    -good work life balance
    -friendly working environment

    Cons

    -growing opportunity is limited
    -contract worker may be laid several times due to budge cut
    -Experience not able to transferred to private sectors

    Mostly contract based - can take 10+ years to be permanent/full time. Not a lot of room for growth

    Pros

    Work life balance, pension and benefits

    Cons

    Work takes a long time to get finalized because of all the different levels it needs to go through to get approved, employees have low morale and management doesn't seem to trust employees, micromanagement.

    Advice to Management

    Employees are losing motivation for the work because it takes so long for files to be approved, managers shouldn't be selected only on technical knowledge but also on management skills.
