I worked at Canon Business Process Services full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very client centered customer service work, if you like pleasing a fixed group of people you will like the work. Clients can be great most of the time and type of work is consistent. This is office work in mail centers, copy centers, shipping centers, conference centers, reception clerks, etc. Most everything you do is scheduled so if you like routine throughout your day this is for you.

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunities to move up as this is driven by your ability to move to new sites over a long period of time. Also depends on open spots from turn over or new accounts. Unfortunately, not a lot of new sites secured in quite a few years so mobility was a bit stagnant.
Some clients will take advantage of your services and some are terribly demanding. One word from clients and you could be gone depending on situation.

    Advice to Management

Focus on growing float pool with contractors who are well trained, paid well, and brought into sites. Quality of lots of new hires was not so great.

    Pros

Keep you busy, lots to learn. Over all its a good job that keeps you on your toes and very active.

    Cons

Contract job. Day to day jobs can change, staffing comes and goes so schedule is hard. There is alot to do here.

    Pros

Good starting pay and that’s it. Do not expect anything else from this company. They don’t care and they watch out for their own backs

    Cons

Where do I start, no raises, no promotions, no one is safe from work politics and being blamed for something they didn’t do.

I have been working at Canon Business Process Services full-time

    Pros

The site you work at will make you feel like one of their employees. They offer decent benefits. They are very accommodating if you need to take time off or leave early. Accumulate 8 hours a month of pto plus paid holidays. Good jobs for college student, if you need a job until you start your career, or retired. Monthly awards given for employees and sites who go above any beyond

    Cons

Very little room to grow. Eventually stop getting a raise after so many years.

    Advice to Management

Show employees that you care. Send holiday and birthday cards. It shouldn’t be up to the client to show us appreciation. It should come from the company we work for.

I worked at Canon Business Process Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Helping clients and fulfilling there needs is the best part. You have the opportunity to learn and cross train every position.

    Cons

Pay rate could be better. Not really a place for a grown adult with a family and kids to make ends meet, even on a fulltime schedule.

    Advice to Management

    Improve starting wages

I have been working at Canon Business Process Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company culture is excellent, and they show a great deal of concern for their employees. Pay is good, benefits are solid, and training is readily available both in your field and in others. Management is not distant, instead being very approachable.

    Cons

Some employees are kept based purely on seniority rather than merit.

    Advice to Management

Stay the course. You run a top notch company. Keep it that way.
