Roll of the dice when it comes to management

Oct 7, 2022 - Channel Marketing Senior Specialist in Melville, NY

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Great benefits. Nice amount of time off such as vacation, sick, personal, bereavement, most holidays and other good features for employees.

    Cons

A lot of an employees success will depend on their personal manager. Management is not consistent. Company does not train employees who get promoted to management. Working in the company for so many years, I've been with different types of management styles. Some were great, had patience to teach processes and procedures, including providing helpful files with step by step operating procedures. Other managers did not have patience for helping to onboard onto a new department. Employee would need to figure it out on their own or bother co-workers with a meeting to teach procedures. Management changes often in each department. In my experience, it depends on your luck on how your next manager's working style will be.

Recently moved around from department to department

Dec 11, 2022 - Marketing Specialist in Melville, NY
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Nice amount of Vacation, personal and sick days. Almost every colleague is helpful.

    Cons

A few colleagues didn't have the patience or just didn't want to help with new tasks. Some didn't have patience for that either. All Management work differently. May depend on luck. Since people have been moved around you never know who you're going to get. Had one who was patient with learning curve. Another who wanted everything yesterday. Very stressful.
