I have been working at Canteen full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Staff for the most part is supportive and fun to work with.

    Cons

Expect to work strange hours and long days. Found myself doing 3 jobs at once. Picking my own orders, delivery driver at 3 AM and then finally my Account Management work after covering a route all day.

I have been working at Canteen full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Competitive compensation package. Dedicated people. Focus on clients.

    Cons

Too much is spent on staffing people at corporate office, while local teams are constantly asked (required) to do more, with less. Associate recognition stops at the hourly staff. The managers who give their blood, sweat, & tears nearly 7/24 are rarely recognized.

    Advice to Management

More local resources to take care of the clients and share the workload. Don’t ask/let/require the few dedicated staff to work 7 days a week while corp won’t even answer the phone after 4:00 pm and and takes corporate holidays like crazy.

I worked at Canteen for more than 3 years

    Pros

Half price snacks in the office?

    Cons

Work life balance is a foreign term with Canteen. The preferred method of management is belittling, intimidation, and fear. If you want to get humiliated in front of your team, this is the company for you!

    Advice to Management

Take a closer look at how your "senior" VP's operate. You'd be surprised to know how they choose to communicate. That's not support; it's intimidation.

    Pros

    - the hours are wonderful for teens - easy work for those who never had warehouse experience

    Advice to Management

Learn how to recruit and treat young talent. Canteen will continue to fall behind if they don’t invest more into their employees. Millennials won’t deal with subpar conditions, adequate pay, poor resources, and no work life balance. They have options, more so than any other generation thus far.
