I have been working at Cantor Fitzgerald

    Pros

The people who work here are mostly great - your colleagues are helpful, friendly, and funny. It has a great name and is well-known within the industry. If you can survive here, you can thrive anywhere so it really preps you for a future job.

    Cons

Long hours are expected and the benefits package leaves much to be desired - no 401k match, what??? The political backbiting can happen anywhere, but is particularly nasty here. You really have to be snarky and skilled in office politics to make it big here - because other than that, I do not see a lot of promotion from within the company.

    Advice to Management

You need a better benefits package and to take care of your employees more!

I worked at Cantor Fitzgerald full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great coworkers, good location. Can't really think of too many pros as I was always worried about laid off.

    Cons

Horrible bonuses, horrible culture, horrible salary, horrible senior leaders who don't care about their employees. Sweat shop mentality. Very high turnover

    Advice to Management

Start treating employees with respect and provide performance reviews instead of pink slips.

I have been working at Cantor Fitzgerald full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Excellent training ground, you will learn how to perform in chaos and under fire! Many really nice people in most of the departments that are appreciative and/or helpful. The company stands out on your resume as most recruiters know if you can work here, you can work anywhere!

    Cons

From senior vice presidents through upper exec levels, you will find some of the poorest, un-schooled and untrained managers ever. They don't appreciate even the greatest accomplishments by their best subordinates and cover their mistakes by throwing them under the bus. The "blame game" is constantly in operation here where upper management thrives by rotating employees beneath them in and out of the door to cover their...

    Advice to Management

They run the gammut from bi-polar to psychotic in some instances, narcissistic or egomaniacal in others. They heed no one's advice but their own.
