I have been working at Capgemini full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    • Great company culture—large emphasis on people
    • Training program is incredible—team specific, but I had an 8-week training program. We spent 2 weeks in Atlanta, 3 weeks in India, 1 week shadowing a project, and 2 weeks in Chicago. We got a great company overview, started building my network from day one, worked with some amazing colleagues from India, and was ready to dive in to a project and client work immediately after training was completed.
    • Very entrepreneurial company—depending on what you want to learn, there are plentiful opportunities for both growth and change. There is a rotational program that you can apply to work in a different team that you are interested in.
    • Tons of travel opportunities for most client-facing roles

    Cons

    • Limited international opportunities for recent college graduates

    Advice to Management

Continue to empower younger generations to retain our entrepreneurial spirit

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to start a career - they will teach you the nuts and bolts of consulting and you will work with some very talented people. It's easy to find mentors here and move up in your career quickly if you are smart and motivated. Many good projects, a few terrible ones. Opportunities to do job rotations, move internal, etc.

    Cons

Salary and hiring structure make no sense to me. Each service line sets their own pay structure so compensation is not even close to uniform across the company. People who consistently get low performance ratings are not dealt with, and other high performing employees get laid off for being on the bench for a week or two.

    Advice to Management

Try to make things fairer for your employees. Highly rated and performing employees should see some benefits as a result (and not just in lip service). Otherwise, they leave for jobs that will pay the market rate.

    Pros

I started my career with Capgemini 2.5 years ago and I feel like I have been given many more opportunities to grow within the company than I would receive else where. The people are amazing and the diverse culture of the company is very refreshing. I have had nothing but positive experiences while working with leadership, and I have always felt that my opinion adds values to the given situation.

    Cons

Look elsewhere if you are looking for a 9 - 5 job.

I worked at Capgemini (More than a year)

    Pros

Great on-boarding program, competitive salary and benefits.

    Cons

This may possibly be due to the generic campus recruiting I went through, but there's very little control over which development route to take with this company. I particularly left because of moving farther and farther away from a "Path" that got me motivated to join in the first place. I still learned a lot and appreciate my experience.

    Advice to Management

Provide action learning if you say you will give action learning.
