I worked at Capgemini full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good management, some opportunities to move up, sterling SAP provider, lots of Consultant positions.

    Cons

Major department and management restructuring in North America, decisions being made from HQ in Europe. Makes for confusing and contradictory decisions.

    Advice to Management

Local management struggles with upper level changes, so they need to be on their toes and be watchful for other opportunities.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Being a consulting firm you get to work on different kinds of challenging projects every year.

    Cons

Project changes as per contract, senior management changes when project gets over, need to prove and start all over again. Less research and development of in-house products.

    Advice to Management

Should look towards research, innovation and capture the core products domains too along with their services portfolio.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For those who like to travel this is the company for you. You are completely in-charge of your career and networking. Decent pay and benefits.

    Cons

Large company and not enough transparency. Most of the workforce is in India and you have to compete with them for positions. Their rate is 10x lower than on-shore resources.

    Advice to Management

Pay should be above other consultant firms as the quality of the work done by your employees is consistently higher than other firms in the same space.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook

I worked at Capgemini as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company is growing in the US and has a solid reputation within tech consulting so you can work on some solid projects. You'll definitely grow and be challenged working amongst very solid architects and developers to implement and upgrade systems.

    Cons

In my experience, while the people are great they tend to be extremely overworked and heads down while they're doing it. It can be hard to get even a minimal amount of time with them so as an intern it's difficult to grow.

    Advice to Management

Internships should be about cultivating new hires but honestly I was turned off by the lack of structure and guidance.

I have been working at Capgemini as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Team is hardworking & dedicated...easy to get along with. Education, training, and support are good.

This can be a high pressure, fast paced environment. If you can't handle that, this is not the company for you.

    Cons

The hours can be long at time. This can be a high pressure, fast paced environment. If you can't handle that, this is not the company for you.

    Advice to Management

Execution level management could be more engaged and hands on. Better situational awareness of day to day activities would be preferred over escalation only involvement.

    Pros

Can work from home intermittently. However, if you want full time work from home in Silicon Valley its rare. However company is open to hiring remote roles.

    Cons

Really cannot think of any. It is probably the best employer I have personally associated with.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing the great job. Hire the best people. Build the best products. Close the most deals
