I have been working at Capital Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    -Tuition Reimbursement
    -MRP
    -Steady pay check
    -Cool co-workers

    Cons

-Call center associates are micromanaged to the minute
-No opportunities for development unless you're white and one of the "chosen ones"
-The department is mostly black but there are only a few black managers and senior managers. Unsure if there are any black employees in executive positions.
-Managers at HRO will walk right pass you and not say a word. They have an arrogant sense about them. I don't believe most have a college degree.
-Politics are crazy. I've changed teams just about every year since I've been with the company. Each manager has their own set of expectations and it hurts your development. By the time you and your manager are in sync-you're moved to a different team.
-If you're of a non-black race and fit the profile of being a yes man, agree on everything, brown nose, and love providing negative feedback than this is the job for you. You should excel and get promoted very quickly.

    Advice to Management

-Read my cons. SHSV for most associates is equivalent to modern day slavery. Most are waiting to become 100% vested before leaving or praying to get laid off.
-Promotion opportunities should be based on what you know rather than who you know.
-Not really sure what senior manager does besides sit in their glass offices and pass out snickers on birthdays.

I have been working at Capital Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The training program is amazing the instructors and training managers are the best!

    Cons

once out of training and training groups are seperated onto other teams there is a disconnect with most of the managers and the lack of development is taken out on the employees

    Advice to Management

You need to have your team managers on the floor with their teams more often rather than in meetings or at other sites. They also need to be more helpful in the developement process because as a new employee i became discouraged.

    Pros

Great company to work for. Great benefits, bonuses, and tuition reimbursement. Everyday I learn something new in the job.

    Cons

Certain times of the year such as tax season calls for required overtime. It's the nature of the business and looks good on the paycheck. Just be prepared to work long days. They do their best to keep it to a minimum.

    Advice to Management

Lots of improvement has been made to be more transparent. Keep up the good work.
