I worked at Capital One as an intern

    Pros

Everyone is very open to answering questions, whether in person, over email, or over Slack. There are a variety of projects that interns work on. There's a very tech company feel in the way people dress and the way the offices are structured. I was randomly invited to a luncheon with someone much further up in management, which was nice because the luncheon was primarily focused on getting feedback from employees. The company cafeteria food is good! For full time employees, it seems like there's a lot of flexibility in working from home, and a lot of understanding surrounding family matters and obligations.

    Cons

The team I was on was made up of foreigners who spoke the same non-English language, and they spoke that very often in the office during our team meetings, etc., so I felt a bit alienated (there was another member of the team who didn't speak the same dialect as them, so at least we were both clueless together).

    Advice to Management

Encourage communication between management and employees.
