I have been working at Capital One full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fantastic work/life balance, the ability to work remotely for some roles, fun work environment, great company culture and values, corporate citizenship and volunteerism, open communication, visibility to and from leadership, onsite campus amenities (cafes, gym, health center), great benefits, awesome people and opportunities for training and growth.

    Cons

Career pathing and growth opportunities for some roles, lower salary, flawed promotional process and at times slow execution on initiatives and deliverables.

    Advice to Management

Keep asking us for advice, input, comments and feedback on how we can do things better, work smarter, be an efficient organization, and live up to our mission. We appreciate it. Recognize and reward your top talent and keep a regular pulse check on associate engagement, especially through the ebbs and flows of business changes.

I have been working at Capital One full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent benefits. Opportunity to learn and implement new technologies.

    Cons

Performance Management. Fast paced environment can get hectic at times.

    Advice to Management

Change performance management. We have evolved from being a bank to one of the best tech companies. Changing performance management should not be such a big deal.

    Pros

Extremely data driven and the work culture is amazing.

    Cons

Getting things done can be hard sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Pay data analysts higher or atleast on par with the business analysts. A senior BA makes ~10k a year more than a senior DA

I have been working at Capital One full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

401k match, stock options, full medical and dental, great culture, supportive enviornment. First time working at a call center and one month in Im loving it. I have never had a job where I felt like I've worked their for years in such a short amount of time. Lots of areas around the center to relax and keep our minds relaxed while dealing with the high stess enviornment. People are always ready to help when you dont know something and team building abounds! Opportunities for advancement not only in the center you work but in other states. I enjoy coming to work and so far so good!

    Cons

High call volume, many layers of management, short breaks, stressful enviornment not for someone who breaks easily with rude customers and non-stop calls. Must be able to mutli-task and bring enegry to every call!
