    Pros

    Cons

Extremely liberal upper management. Not in touch with real-life.

    Advice to Management

Stop touting self-promoting charlatans like Al Gore and Adrianna Huffington. Instead bring in conservatives who actually contribute to real economic growth in this country.

I have been working at Capital One full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits such as wellness centers and pharmacies are awesome
    People are still awesome
Flexibility in working, though some of that is going away

    Cons

Employees are becoming commodities; just considered cost
Politics getting toxic in the card business
People are worried about their jobs, impacting their desire to collaborate

    Advice to Management

Consider the outcomes of the cost culture you are creating. Also look at what is happening to your demographics as you remove more older women and minorities for young white men

    Pros

Extremely robust talent sourcing, management and development process; acute focus on developing existing and future leaders within the company and in the communities where we have a presence; top-notch benefits; respectful and diverse culture; numerous opportunities to promote and pivot one’s career in different directions to stay energized and keep learning vs being in a dead-end job; inspiring, influential and energetic leaders; and flexibility to work in different geographies.

    Cons

Too early to have witnessed any but the methodical interview process can certainly weed out those who are impatient and be taxing while one is in an existing role at a different company. Applicants need to really appreciate that the lengthy process with numerous rounds of interviews is deliberate to ensure proper fit and consistency of talent while also offering the candidate exposure to a number of the company’s employees in different departments.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you’re doing and continue to be a leader in tech and data-enabled solutions — we need to maintain our focus on providing an exceptional experience to our customers, stockholders and employees.

I worked at Capital One full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Salary, Benefits and perks
    Learning opportunity

    Cons

Nepotism, group-ism, horrible year-end review process where team members are pitted against each other to back-stab. Even if they end up having Newton and Einstein in a team at the end of the year they will kick 1 out due to current review process.

    Advice to Management

Need to promote good doers over good braggers else soon braggers will not have anything to brag about.
