I worked at Capital One full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some good things about working at a Capital One call center were:

    - Somewhat flexible hours
    - Decent pay
    - Excellent benefits

    Cons

The environment is very stressful and most managers were very keen on making you listen to your worst calls. They put the customer first in service which is a good practice and there was a lot of corporate mission statement buzzwords being thrown around and there was a lot of talk about how great it was to work for them; however, under the syrupy film of good nature that the management applied, they were not interested in the employees well being outside of throwing snack at them.

I think a lot of the cons in working for them is that they are a company that is trying to change how they operate by building on top of old practices. These practices don't align with the new warm and fuzzy feels they are trying to portray.

    Advice to Management

I understand that to a large corporate entity that employees may appear as a set of numbers on a spreadsheet but please try to change this. And not by throwing snacks at us.. that just makes people unhealthy.

I have been working at Capital One full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interview process convenient. Work from home. Benefits from day 1. Easy computer set up. Lots of help. Only have to visit site a few times a year.

    Cons

Pay is low for experience. Health benefits are kind of expensive compared to what I had with my last employer, and not as much coverage.
