I worked at Capstone Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Capstone cares about its employees and customers. Multiple opportunities across divisions and geographical areas of the country. Alway paid on time.

    Cons

Typical federal government contractor. If you are used to working in that industry, you will be fine and pleased. If you are new to government contracting, be patient and flexible; otherwise, you will be frustrated and should look for another industry.

    Advice to Management

    None.

I worked at Capstone Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great on site leader and highly motivated and experienced co-workers working for an Army training command doing an important support role in the ongoing war on terror; decent pay scale for work performed at Fort Hood TX

    Cons

Poor communication of contract changes due to government budget cuts; poor transition process and opportunities for internal transfer when contract terminated due to cost reductions

    Advice to Management

Develop better corporate policies to negate poor communication by individuals regarding contract changes; develop more detailed employee transition process and define more opportunities for internal transfer when contracts are terminated

Great managers and locations. Pay is good!

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Employees are looking for management support when needed. Try to support them as they have you while working. It means a lot. Don't make empty promises.

I worked at Capstone Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small company, great benefits, good contracts

    Cons

During the transition from HQ US JFCOM to the HR JS I was continuously told I was golden or hand picked and my job was secure. This was comforting since I saw a 40% reduction of the work force implemented. This continued for several months, still the same line your golden. On 20 Aug 2011, I was asked to call my Division chief at a specific number on a private line. I did and he told me my position was being changed to an Army background and my background was Air Force my last day would be 31 Aug 2011. So I was given 11 days to find a job during the worst contractor reduction in the last 20 years. Thank you so very much!

    Advice to Management

After three years of commuting more than 130 miles a day and being stuck in traffic from 4 to 5 hours each work day I was given a whopping two weeks severance pay. Perhaps you should rethink the cheapness with which you operate it will bite you in the end!
