    Pros

    - competitive pay
    - comprehensive training
    - solid management team
    - real company culture
    - room for professional growth
In my experience, it's rare to find all of these things in one company. Captivate seems to have a very clearly defined vision of where it stands in the market, and an understanding of where it's looking to go. The sales team is cohesive, everyone really seems to look out for one another, and- despite its growth- it's managed to not have an overly "corporate" feel to it.

    Cons

At this point, none worth mentioning. There are minor details, but nothing that's of real concern.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, I really like working here.

I worked at Captivate full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The employees (co-workers, not leadership) were great to work with, talented people over all

    Cons

No career growth, could leave your career stagnant if you stay too long. Some, not all leadership, will be condescending, throw you under the bus often without regard, then turn around and try to pat you on the back, etc. Leadership shows blatant favoritism towards certain employees and those are who get the raises, promotions first, etc. Majority of employees have been with the company for 100 years so they are all stuck in their ways and scared flow with the times or too lazy too therefore allowing huge communication barriers. I've seen this company push out some great people so just beware of the politics here.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees more, find ways to elevate them so you aren't losing great talent every second you turn around. Hire younger more-forward thinking managers who get it.

    I worked at Captivate full-time

    Pros

It is an interesting business that has a lot of potentials

    Cons

Too much politics and chaos for such a small company.

    Advice to Management

Deducing rather than adding will be helpful.

    Cons

Can whoever at Captivate is removing negative reviews, and immediately writing 100%, all star positive reviews after a negative review is posted on Glassdoor, stop it? You're coming across as naive.

I worked at Captivate full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not that many pros. The benefits package is ok and I like that they offer decent FTO. The free broadway and show tickets are great. I also like the occasional parties and drinks.

    Cons

Although there are many positives to working at captivate like some of the people there, I fear there are more negatives. Captivates management in the NYC office is the worst that I've seen. Constant changes that make no sense to the structure and herirachy. Lack of a focus on what truly mmatters to the core business and high investment on things that don't make a difference whatsoever. Thee companies resources and core technology is dated. There are also certain individuals that think highly of themselves and lie to upper management when they see you as a threat. The adsales guys get way more resources and incentives. You should invest in your RE team. They are all actually a lot smarter and competent then you think.

    Advice to Management

Think aboutt your investments. You have great potential If you realize that there are companies that have a better product than you. Your marketing team is very competent use them. Let go of individuals who think that they know everything - they really don't and are sucking the great things out of captivate one change at a time.

I have been working at Captivate full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is a great time to be at Captivate as the company is evolving and growing rapidly, both in geography and capabilities. When it comes to trying new things, I can't remember the last time I was told "no" or "we can't do that".

The culture is great and we have an unlimited amount of resources/support.

    Cons

The sale can be challenging since we've created our own marketing category unlike anything else. (For me this is more of a Pro than a Con since this is also what makes Captivate so unique and exciting for our clients).

    Advice to Management

    Motivation is key!
