I worked at Cardi's Furniture full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits, employee discount

    Cons

This is not a job for you to expect anything else that a paycheck. All employees in this company have been there for over 7 - 20 years in the same position. No opportunity for growth.

    Advice to Management

Should try developing employees and offering more opportunities for growth. If employees grow the company also grows.

I worked at Cardi's Furniture (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It was a pleasant atmosphere with a supportive management team. Like any other commission based job, you get what you put into it.

    Cons

The only thing I didn't like about it was nothing to do with the company itself; rather the nature of the business. It could be very cut-throat depending on your co-workers. Some were great, others, not so much.

    Advice to Management

Just try to be aware of those who are not "playing fair."

I have been working at Cardi's Furniture part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Convenient for college, something to get by on until classes are over. Short term for extra money. Short shifts for part time.

    Cons

Lack of training. Manager spends more time gossiping than getting involved in running office. Favors some over others. Rules are different depending on how she likes you on that day. Changes schedule without asking. Time off is hard to get.

    Advice to Management

Manager should Help maintain a positive attitude & guidance

    Pros

There are no pros to this position

    Cons

Customer Service Business Office (Store) Never trained was hired part-time then asked to schedule more days for training. Had several "trainers" when desk got busy trainer did work told would be shown later. Worked 2 months (20 work days) was called and "let go unable to work more days to learn system". Planned on leaving due to no training!

    Advice to Management

Have one trainer and allow people to learn.
