    Pros

One of the few higher paying manufacturing jobs in the area. Shows a lot of effort to promote safety. Business seems good for them right now.

    Cons

Horrible schedule, poor health insurance, pay vs responsibility is unbalanced, poor training, and bad culture. Does nothing to keep people from wanting to leave. It's all about numbers.

    Advice to Management

Stop burning out the good people just to keep the numbers looking good. Listen to all of the people, not just the chosen cliques.

    Pros

Top-Notch Leaders, Profit Sharing, Immaculate Facilities, Safe, Best Technology.

    Cons

Pay Scale can sometimes be based on profit sharing. Most plants pay great profit sharing, but there are a couple that have minimal profit sharing for now.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work developing great managers. Don't lose good talent over something small. Take the oppurtunity to coach them.

I worked at Cardinal Glass (Less than a year)

    Pros

a job when I needed one. very top management are approachable. hsa match.

    Cons

health insurance is costly and with a very very high deductible. dangerous work.. no facial protection and if the big glass snaps in two somehow, then the body armor won't work, and too many close calls that everyone's had. extra hours and training given only to team leaders and above... if you aren't one of them, then you aren't nearly as valued (it isn't an even balance). Vending machines serving junk... better food selection is better than free coffee. Low starting wage and bonuses compared to other companies or in the past (respectively).

    Advice to Management

balance the hours instead of team leads getting all. leadership or encouragement training for all employees... not just team leads. new vending machines. change vending machine companies.

I have been working at Cardinal Glass full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not many pros but it's a job. 40+hours a week Overtime is always available if people want to work extra hours. hours are nice when we are on 8 hours.

    Cons

Favoritism, no leader ship, management. Supervisor comes in with a negative attitude which brings the entire shift down. Not enough help in our departments.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone equal. Everyone works hard but management only looks at a couple people. Listen to your employees. Show your employees you care!

I have been working at Cardinal Glass full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It's a pay check. Puts food on the table. The equipment is cutting-edge

    Cons

Not very good at treating employees like people. It is all about the numbers.
Insurance is horrible. It's blamed on health care, but the company picks what insurance they will give its employees. Upper management get treated very good.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget your employees are people. Sometimes making an extra dollar isn't worth belittling your employees

    Pros

this company is amazing but their safety standards are above anything i have ever seen. its almost to a fault.

    Cons

like i said before , safety is one thing, but they have you wrapped head to toe in safety gear it gets so hot in the gear its almost sad.

    Advice to Management

give the new hires the same comfortable safety gear all the veteran employees get to have, it will boost overall moral.
