I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, PTO/Vacation on day one. People are great to work with. Pay is not to bad and insurance is pretty good.

    Cons

Andvancement are very minimal. Someone said, "If you're ok with working a dead job, then this is a great job to work."

    Advice to Management

Wish the higher managers would come to all shift and walk the floor, to be noticed and maybe get a compliment from them every once in a while.

    Pros

    Great Flexibility
    Fast paced
    Good environment
    Advancement
    Jered Parks 5*

    Cons

Pay is very low for industry standards
No company accountability for other departments

    Advice to Management

Pay more and make a degree mandatory for the position. You can't place high school educations in the rooms with pharma executives (COO,CFO, CEO) to do business reviews. It's just glaring!!!

I have been working at Cardinal Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Generous paid time off, good health benefits.

    Cons

No work life balance, unsafe working conditions, poor management, low pay.

    Advice to Management

You need to hire people who care about what they do, not just bodies to get the work done. You need to have a plan about how to handle all the work, and realize the building you are currently housed in is too small to handle the volume. The inventory is a mess, medical supplies are on the floor, working 60-80 hours a week with mandatory 6th day for a year is not a solution. Throwing more people at the problem is not the answer. Work cannot get done safely with so much congestion that no one can work efficiently. The culture here stinks, day shift is full of "lifers" who think they no longer have to do any work because they have "paid their dues". Can't get promoted or transfered unless you brown nose. The biggest pay raise you can get a year is 30 cents, and that's if the boss likes you. It's not based on performance, job quality, or how hard you work. There is no team work between departments. Most times you are expected to do all your work, and then go to another department and do all their work for another 2-4 hours because their people have goofed off all night. This is the worst place I have ever worked, cannot wait to get out.
