I have been working at Cardlytics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

In no particular order: * Interesting work; substantive and trailblazing. * Flexibility of hours. * Opportunity to move over/up to new positions and groups. * Free snacks, beverages, and frequent lunches. * Amazing facilities for collaboration. * Great coworkers that are smart and dedicated.

    Cons

In order: 1. No 401k matching. 2. Project management at the enterprise level is not taken seriously. 3. Frequent reorgs. 4. Ho-hum compensation.

    Advice to Management

    * Outstanding job on shaping and maintaining a fantastic culture. Keep doing it! * Commit to a project management organization to get higher profile projects done, done faster, and done right. * Keep charging ahead into new areas; don't be afraid to fail. We do this now and it's great!

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Cardlytics full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Nice office, Fun Parties, Free Snacks. Good place to start your career.

    Cons

Politics, you can only go far here if you hitch your wagon to the right people. Low starting salary and laughably low yearly raises, no matter how well you perform. Management. Hiring externally instead of promoting from within. Siloed work environment. Reluctance to actually fix processes that are broken.

    Advice to Management

Stop pushing good people out the door by not paying them what they deserve. Take a good look at middle management. Start promoting from within. Open up communication between departments. Stop putting bandaids on things that need to actually be fixed.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Cardlytics full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Willing to accept almost anyone for entry-level positions, "free" snacks and "cool" office amenities, can bring your dog to work.

    Cons

Office/facilities management demonstrates an openly tyrannical attitude by locking restrooms and arbitrarily blocking access to the "cool" office amenities. The leadership team is unable to construct consistent narratives as to why the company misses goals, performs poorly, or is "forced" to make difficult decisions such as firing dozens of employees. There have been multiple CTOs in just a matter of months (only... two members of the original leadership team remain). Employees who are sales or client-facing are allowed and often encouraged to bully employees in operational roles into working 12+ hour days, then "reward" them with a $25 gift card to Starbucks. Accolades, awards, and promotions are reserved for those who demonstrate a willingness to play politics or successfully manage to hinder the career advancement of others through manipulation, lies, or coercion.

    Advice to Management

Do the opposite of the cons listed above.

I worked at Cardlytics for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great work-life balance, free snacks and fun environment.

    Cons

Internal communication are still lacking. Executives are not engaged and don't know what is going on at the ground level.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication and actually listen to the employee feedback regarding the company and the products.

I worked at Cardlytics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Fun start-up feel with game room, workout area, nap pods, and free snacks -Potential to grow in different areas within the company -Really great people to work with -Work/Life balance is excellent

    Cons

-Management typically has no direction due to lack of cross-department communication -Recently went through 2 phases of layoffs within weeks of each other (April, 2016) -Office politics can slow projects down tremendously

    Advice to Management

Get a better vision of what needs to be accomplished before pulling the trigger on potentially cost-heavy, long term projects

    I worked at Cardlytics full-time

    Pros

They have free snacks and a cool office. Oh, and they have bikes that you can use to ride on the beltline.

    Cons

They spend tons of money on snacks, coffee, and parties. They over-hire for positions they don't need, and spend money they don't have. They have laid off about 1/3 of their employees in the past month with no notice. Their beautiful office and happy demeanors are definitely a facade. Also, their salaries are much lower than others in the industry.
