    I worked at Care.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great environment -- they make sure that even the most competent of jerks don't make it through the interview process, so you'll be working in a friendly and upbeat team.

    Cons

Tends to hire from outside. Pay is a little under industry norm when i worked there. Some days are dull with nothing to do while others are in crisis mode.

    Advice to Management

    Develop your own employees!

I have been working at Care.com (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great platform, and profiles are easy, clear, and flattering for your exposure and convenience. Their reputation perceives them. Any advertisement you see, is the quality you're getting. I highly reccommend Care.com.

    Cons

Background and exposure fees have increased.

    Advice to Management

Needs a chat room available for prospects. Setting up interviews, and getting to you know first via email and phone can be a struggle and time consuming. Just another option.

    Pros

When my family moved to Silicon Valley, I had no network for finding employment. I was grateful to the Care.com platform for the ability to reach out to families needing a sitter. I love being able to post availability, have an option for reviews, and that they can run background checks and driving records right from their site for all parties involved to feel confident in finding a sitter and a family that will work well together.

    Cons

I have a sitter profile and am unable to hire a sitter for myself. Even though I babysit for income, I have kids of my own and would love to ability to hire a sitter from Care.com without having to create a separate profile. I advertise myself as a Mom Helping Moms, so would appreciate a way to have both a job-seeking profile as well as a hiring profile within my same e-mail log-in.

    Advice to Management

Please allow for dual profiles (one for hiring a sitter and one for being a sitter) within one e-mail address log-in. It would aid in not being repetitive, as well as help clients and employers see that the same person is accountable for both roles.

I worked at Care.com (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, clients are pleasant, however dealing with family personalities can become very troubles me. As a caregiver you can only suggest but getting cooperation from the client family members can be difficult. The best interest of the client is at stake and that is not usually top priority. Feeling frustrated. Some homes are less than a healthy environment.

    Cons

Flexibility does not mean changing days and hours at will. Continually asking for more services for no extra pay. Purchasing necessary items and groceries without being reimbursed. Having to wait for paycheck and then go pick it up on your day off. Services are to the patient, not cleaning up after family members.

    Advice to Management

Should be some kind of. Intact with employee t see if things are going ok. I turned in scams and never heard anything back on. Status.

    Pros

Loved the families and connections I made. Became a nanny in college and was a great way to earn extra money throughout my four years.

    Cons

Sometimes messages are not delivered or ca not be seen unless you upgrade to the pro version.

    Advice to Management

Lower price for caregivers pro version. we are already looking for a job to make money!
