I have been working at CareFusion full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, some customers, company car (if job permits it), pay isn't bad (could be better) for the amount of hours worked

    Cons

Management, no work life balance, over working the worker bee, having you work a position and not get paid for it

    Advice to Management

You really need to look at the big picture. People are dropping like flies, lots of unnecessary lay offs which is putting your knowledge base at risk

    Pros

    Great People. Helpful and competent.

    Cons

Lack of exec leadership enables toxic managers to gain to much responsibility.

    Advice to Management

Engage both ways. manage up as well as down. Listen and look for managers no one wants to work for.

I worked at CareFusion full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Relaxed environment on the production floor. Met a lot of great people and made some friends. Some overtime offered when it gets busy.

    Cons

Never got a pay raise, voice of people on the production floor is not heard, pay is extremely low for amount of units we built.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to the people on the bottom floor as they are the ones who make the product and really bring in the money for the company.

I have been working at CareFusion full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Worked here for over 10 years. I enjoyed working for them. Very diverse group of professionals. Flexible and pleasant work environment. Most people are very nice and professional.

    Cons

Downsizing constantly, not very stable for the QA department

    Advice to Management

Outsourcing the critical works will have big problems in the features, especially for Medical Device Class (II or higher) FDA-Regulated products.

I worked at CareFusion full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Carefusion spun-off the manufacturing division from Cardinal Health, which was primarily a distribution company. This was a good move because the quality systems for manufacturing vs. distribution were not compatible.

    Cons

Down sizing constantly not very stable. The culture shifted from a growing, merging, forward thinking to a minimizing, cost cutting, "on edge" workplace.

    Advice to Management

Grow your people. have faith in them and lead them to be successful. Ask the employees where they want to be in 5 years. Invest in them, provide training, and encourage them to grow. AND STOP DOWNSIZING to make the bottom line look good.

    I worked at CareFusion full-time

    Pros

Some of the smartest and friendliest people I have ever met, work here. Co-workers are generally trying to make the world a safer and healthier place for everyone.

    Cons

Company politics are hard to ignore.

    Advice to Management

Keep the goal of 'patient safety' in mind, it will lead you in making the right decisions.

I worked at CareFusion full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits, free coffee and tea, microwaves, manufacturing is on site. Management asks for employee concerns, they conduct surveys of employee satisfaction. Good customer base.

    Cons

Management does not do anything about what they hear from employees. They decide how much time it takes to do the job even if they haven't done the work before. They thrash people from project to project and cancel projects all the time along with regular layoffs. All of the senior management resigned within a few months after being purchased by BD. The products are old and all the work is band aids to keep it alive.

    Advice to Management

Prioritize what will make the business healthy, resolve your internal disputes privately and come out united, staff projects with the right people and let them finish their work before pulling them onto something else.
