  1. "Great Company to Work For"

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at CareHere (More than 5 years)

    Pros

For me, it is about having a work schedule that allows me to still be a full-time mom. The management team is flexible and collaborative to allow for reasonable working hours and to provide the most efficient patient/client care.

    Cons

Management is remote and in a different time zone.

    Advice to Management

Have feet on the ground for local face-to-face meetings. Instead of regional management, perhaps have local clinic staff have additional duties to incorporate a more personal management environment.

I have been working at CareHere full-time

    Pros

Love the work from home culture. Allows great flexibility

    Cons

If it wasn't for the work for home culture, I would leave this company. Currently, I need the flexibility and benefits. If you are looking to grow your career, this is not the company for you.

    Advice to Management

Your HR department has suffered since you changed directors. HR is not a valued source at CareHere no longer

I worked at CareHere full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Laid back environment, 20 min appointments, no billing headaches, pays well, good support from management, autonomy for midlevels, good wellness and screening benefits for clients.

    Cons

Sometimes too much autonomy. Hard to get time off because they rely on you so much. Because the employees come "for free", they come for really, really, really minor things. EMR sucked.

    Advice to Management

Better EMR, allow double appointments for complicated patients, better support for time off to prevent burn out.

    Pros

The interaction and relationships you have with patients are most rewarding. You get to know your patients, what makes them unique. They become like an extended family. It was one of the most rewarding positions I have had the pleasure to hold.

    Cons

The lower level management I had to deal with was the worse I have ever suffered. Their disregard for me as a human with a life outside of their employ was shown many times. There is no support for issues that arise in the clinic, there were important matters that were never addressed since the clinic opened, and the quality of co workers is not always what it should be.

    Advice to Management

Be more aware of who you have as lower level management. As a nurse in a clinic I always felt like I was less important than someone working at Corporate. Case in point, A single email was sent out for Nurses week, but a large dinner and event was held for Administrative Assistant day! There were several posts about it on Facebook, but nothing about Nurses week. The facebook page is always about corporate, even when things are offered about happenings in a clinic, they are not posted. The lack of support and positive feelings of clinic staff should be evident in the number of job postings and turnover of staff. This business is growing, wake up and realize that it is the clinic staff that keeps you in business. Be more aware of areas that have staff turnover and dissatisfaction of clients and find out why!

    Pros

Pretty easy work, good hours, nice to have your own nurse (unlike some of the retail clinics) and nice clientele ( normal working folks, no druggies or psych)

    Cons

Pay is less than average for this area. Sometimes hard to get everything you need done in time span allowed. Patients can schedule thier own appointments online and this compounds the problem because they dont schedule themselves enough time.

    Advice to Management

Take under consideration the advice and feedback of those who actually work in the clinics with patients as to what works and what doesn't. Sometimes a "corporate" view of things is not always realistic. Too much middle management.
